Yes, you read that right! Imagine finding your inner peace while a snake gently slithers up your back. This unusual practice is now a reality for those seeking a truly wild twist on their wellness routine.
LXRYOGA, a unique yoga studio in Costa Mesa, California, is turning heads with its bold and unusual offering: snake yoga.
If you think this practice sounds a bit too wild for comfort, that’s the point! The studio specifically caters to people who are afraid of snakes, helping them face their fears in a relaxing, controlled environment.
Here’s how it works: when you arrive at the studio, you’re invited to choose a special stone, which you get to keep as a keepsake.
The studio has eight friendly ball pythons, each corresponding to one of these stones. The snakes are all named after crystals.
Participants draw a crystal at random to determine which snake will be their yoga buddy for the day.

"Some might say our offering is a ‘gimmick like other animal-incorporated yoga,’ but we truly believe in what we offer,” Tess Cao, co-owner of LXRYOGA, told People.
According to Tess, these ball pythons are “very social and friendly,” and the studio takes extra care to ensure the reptiles remain calm and stress-free.
Before the yoga class begins, they even conduct an orientation to show participants how to interact with the snakes safely and mindfully.
Whether you’re looking to conquer your fears or just want to try something out of the ordinary, snake yoga at LXRYOGA promises a memorable and soothing experience.
