UP CM Yogi Adityanath orders zero tolerance on cybercrime, religious conversion rackets at Police Manthan 2025

At Police Manthan 2025 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed police to take strict action against cybercrime, religious conversion rackets, drug trafficking and terrorism. He stressed zero tolerance on social media misuse and asked officers to use AI and technology to strengthen law and order.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday addressed the closing session of Police Manthan - Senior Police Officers' Conference 2025 in Lucknow. He issued clear instructions to strengthen law and order across the state and asked senior officers to remain alert to new security challenges.
Zero tolerance on social media misuse and
The Chief Minister ordered strict monitoring of social media platforms. He warned against fake news, deepfakes, misinformation and online content that spreads caste or religious hatred. He said police must act immediately against posts and accounts that disturb social harmony or law and order. No leniency should be shown to those spreading chaos online, he added.
AI to be used against
CM Yogi called religious conversion rackets a serious threat and said such activities are being carried out in an organised manner. Referring to cases like Balrampur, he directed police to use artificial intelligence, financial tracking, and technical analysis to identify and break internationally funded conversion networks.
The Chief Minister expressed concern over rising terrorist activities and drug smuggling linked to borders with Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. He ordered the police and security agencies to technologically strengthen border surveillance and anti-terror systems to prevent infiltration and illegal trafficking.
Praising the police for action taken so far, CM Yogi said the fight against terrorism, narcotics, and organised crime must become more decisive. He asked agencies to share real-time intelligence and ensure fast action to break the morale of criminal networks operating in the state.
The Chief Minister said arresting offenders is not enough in cow smuggling cases. Police must identify and act against the entire network and its masterminds. He said this approach would send a strong message and help curb organised crime linked to cow smuggling.
