Content creator Nick Shirley released a viral video to several Minnesota daycares, where he alleged that facilities receiving federal funding were not actually operating as legitimate daycares. In a clip shared on X (formerly called Twitter) by Collin Rugg, an unidentified local individual accused Shirley of "attacking the Somali community". He pushed back against the claim, responding that the investigation was not about race but was about the alleged fraud.

During the exchange, a local man becomes visibly upset. The man even accused Shirley of unfairly targeting the Somali community. Following this, the man repeatedly interrupts Shirley's questions and challenges his motives, at one point demanding to know how much money Shirley earns from his YouTube channel.

"How much money are you making? How much money are you making off of this?" the man said. However, Shirley is seen maintaining a calm behaviour in the video while responding to the accusations.

As soon as the clip surfaced on social media, it quickly went viral and sparked a debate. A Reddit user wrote on a thread linked to the case and said, "This is laughable! Time to ship him home too. I hear the weather is nice back in Somalia 🇸🇴; it will be a bit warmer than the weather we have been having. ✈️✈️"

While another wrote, "He’s right about one thing. We do not want him here."
