Who is Major Mohit Sharma?

Major Mohit Sharma was a highly respected officer of the Indian Army’s 1 Para (Special Forces), known for his courage, strategic brilliance, and undercover missions in Kashmir. Commissioned in 1999, he took on some of the most challenging counter-insurgency operations and even worked covertly under the alias “Iftikhar Bhatt.” His exceptional service earned him the Sena Medal in 2004 for gallantry.

On 21 March 2009, Major Sharma led a daring operation in the Hafruda forest of Kupwara, where he eliminated several militants and rescued his team members before succumbing to his injuries. For his extraordinary bravery, he was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra, India’s highest peacetime gallantry award.

Dhurandhar release date and cast

Dhurandhar is slated to hit Indian cinemas on December 5, 2025, boasting a powerful ensemble cast. Ranveer Singh leads the film as “The Wrath of God,” alongside Akshaye Khanna as “The Apex Predator,” Sanjay Dutt as “The Jinn,” R.
