YEIDA to Emerge as North India’s Largest Multi-Modal Transport Hub
Under CM Yogi Adityanath, the YEIDA region is transforming into North India’s largest multi-modal transport and industrial hub. With Jewar Airport, expressways, rail, RRTS, and massive investments, Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a global logistics, manufacturing, and employment powerhouse.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is transforming the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region into India’s most ambitious Multi-Modal Transport and Industrial Hub (MMTH). This strategic initiative aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a globally competitive destination for investment, logistics, manufacturing, and employment.

At the heart of this transformation lies the Noida International Airport, Jewar, which is poised to emerge as North India’s largest aviation and logistics gateway, significantly strengthening India’s supply chain ecosystem.

Focus on Seamless Multi-Modal Connectivity

YEIDA Additional CEO Shailendra Kumar Bhatia stated that the Yogi government’s top priority is to ensure seamless integration of air, road, rail, RRTS, and expressway networks.

An 8-lane access-controlled Yamuna Expressway has already been directly connected to the airport, enabling high-speed travel to Delhi and western Uttar Pradesh. The Eastern Peripheral Expressway will provide smooth connectivity to Haryana and Uttarakhand, while the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, via the Ballabhgarh interchange, will directly link Jewar Airport to India’s largest industrial and commercial corridor.

Dedicated Cargo Roads to Boost Logistics Efficiency

To strengthen air cargo movement, the state government is developing North and East Dedicated Access Roads exclusively for freight traffic. These corridors will allow heavy cargo vehicles to reach the airport without entering urban areas, significantly reducing congestion, transit time, and logistics costs.

Future plans include connecting the Ganga Expressway and NH-34 with YEIDA sectors and the Yamuna Expressway, ensuring stronger connectivity across Purvanchal, Central, and Western Uttar Pradesh.

RRTS and Rail Connectivity to National Freight Corridors

Modern urban mobility will be supported by a proposed RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System) linking Delhi, NCR, YEIDA sectors, and Noida International Airport.

Additionally, dedicated rail connectivity for industries and cargo terminals is being developed, ensuring direct access to the Delhi–Howrah and Delhi–Mumbai rail corridors. This integration will lower transportation costs, accelerate exports, and enhance supply chain efficiency.

Massive Investments Flowing into EMC Park

Alongside infrastructure development, industry-friendly policies of the Yogi government are attracting large-scale investments into the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Area and EMC Park.

Major players in electronics and semiconductors include:

HCL–Foxconn (Vama Sundari Investments) – Semiconductor testing facility

Havells India – Anchor manufacturing unit

Dixon Technologies

Aditech Semiconductors

Ascent Circuits

These investments are positioning YEIDA as a high-tech manufacturing and semiconductor hub.

Strong Growth in Automobile and Electric Mobility Sectors

The automobile and electric mobility ecosystem is also witnessing rapid expansion. Companies such as Escorts Kubota, Minda Corporation, and Ninjas Electric are creating large-scale employment opportunities.

In renewable energy and green manufacturing, firms like SAEL Solar, Amber Enterprises, and EV Manufacturers Welfare Trust are reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s leadership in clean energy and sustainable manufacturing. Projects by Pine Valley Ventures and Deki Electronics are further strengthening textiles and electronic components manufacturing.

Employment Generation for Lakhs of Youth

The Uttar Pradesh government believes that world-class connectivity, advanced logistics, and a business-friendly ecosystem will transform the YEIDA region into a major employment engine, generating lakhs of direct and indirect jobs for youth across the state.

This integrated development model reflects the government’s commitment to Viksit Uttar Pradesh and Aatmanirbhar Bharat, with YEIDA emerging as a cornerstone of India’s industrial future.
